EcoGnomix

EcoGnomix (Irox Games) is a combination of roguelite and city builder where players gather resources using a team of gnomes in dangerous caves and then use those resources to construct a town and process those resources into items that will help them further explore the caves and gather more resources.

Game Engine: Unity

Role: Technical Game Designer (Mar 2024 – Nov 2024)

  • Designed and implemented new features and sequences for the game (including boss fights, enemies, player-controlled characters, and buildings) using the Unity Engine
  • Conducted playtests and identified issues with features, game balance, or mismatches between the intended player experience and actual gameplay experience
  • Implementing fixes for technical issues and tuning game balance based on collected player feedback to improve player experience and to meet creative vision

Cyberspace Liberation

Apr 2021 – Jul 2021 (12 weeks, University Project)

Cyberspace Liberation is a top-down, roguelite game with procedurally generated levels. Shoot and dodge through Cyberspace to stop the entity Triankolos from taking over.

The Price of Opportunity

Jan 2023 (~5 Days, University Project)

The Price of Opportunity is a management game in which players manage a farm in South America. The game was developed during the Science, Technology, and Society game jam at Technical University Munich. The goal of was to highlight the issues faced by coca farmers in South America, who often have no real alternative but to cultivate coca if they want to survive, using a game

  • Implemented a player controller to allow players to move the camera, build buildings, hire workers, or buy and sell resources
  • Implemented a simple worker and resource simulation where workers work in buildings and provide labor to create resources
  • Implemented an event system that allowed us to trigger narrative events depending on player actions. Events in turn would also influence workers and resources

Steam Scourge

Feb 2022 – May 2022 (14 weeks, University Project)

Steam Scourge is a first-person narrative exploration game. You are trapped in a disease-ridden walled-off district trying to make a quick buck when it all goes south.

Greg’s Garbage Garage

Sep 2019 (48 hours, Gamejam)

In this game, you are tasked with managing and expanding Greg’s waste management facility. His Garbage Garage. Sort trash and earn money. Comply with the local recycling regulations and deal with Greg.

  • Design work on different types of machines, how trash should behave and needs to be sorted, and how players are rewarded for sorting trash
  • Programmed and designed most of the in-game UI
  • Determined level and narrative progression and wrote corresponding texts

Bite Delight

Bite Delight is a roguelike game about a hemophiliac vampire. Try to replenish your blood reserves by beating up patients and staff at the local hospital before draining them of their blood. Survive as long as you can.

In Hotel Nero, you take control of firefight Gustav and charge into a burning building set ablaze by local pyromaniac and hotel owner Nero. Save as many civilians from the inferno as you can without succumbing to the flames yourself.
